About
Katrina Hernandez is a distinguished designer whose work has been prominently featured in several prestigious publications, including The New York Times, Architectural Digest, L’Uomo Vogue, House Beautiful, Domino, and Elle Décor. Her journey in the design world began in St. Michaels, Maryland, where she was raised in a family of creatives. With her mother and grandmother being small business owners in the antiques field, Katrina developed a deep appreciation for design from a young age. She initially embarked on her career in fashion as a design assistant at Gap Inc., followed by a position as a fabric buyer at Ralph Lauren, where she sourced textiles globally. In 2009, her love for textiles and design led her to the interiors department of AD100 firm Sawyer | Berson, and by 2014, she co-founded the New York-based design firm Hernandez Greene. The firm quickly made its mark, executing projects from New York to Los Angeles and earning spots on Architectural Digest’s Ones-to-Watch List and Elle Décor’s A-List within five years.
Katrina Hernandez is celebrated for her approachable design process, focusing on creating polished, comfortable, and layered spaces that reflect both her clients' tastes and her sophisticated aesthetic. Her designs are known for being timeless and cohesive, often starting with soft goods to pay homage to her textile background. After moving to Los Angeles in 2019, Katrina continues to expand her business, applying her unique style and personalized approach to a growing portfolio of West Coast projects. Her ability to blend client preferences with her distinctive refined-bohemian style has solidified her reputation as a go-to designer for those seeking beautifully tailored interior spaces.
